Govt. of Assam has undertaken a Collaborative Project with the University of Melbourne, Australia to facilitate Capacity Building in the field of Construction Management for the state. The project that has been implemented through Assam Engineering College envisions for Faculty Development, Faculty Exchange, Curriculum Development, Research and Education in construction management.
As Construction sector is the 2nd largest employer in the country with largest contributor to central exchequer, 8.2 % to Indian GDP. The sector has multiple linkages with other sectors and has a strong multiplier effect on the overall economy of the country. Thus, engagement of all stakeholders is of urgent need to make the collaborative venture a grand success.
In view of the above, a Workshop for Engagement of Stakeholders for Capacity Building in Construction Management titled -
CROSS-CULTURAL ANALYSIS AND CAPACITY BUILDING IN CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT PRACTICES ON HOUSING AND INFRASTRUCTURE SECTORS IN ASSAM AND AUSTRALIA
is organized during 13-16 December, 2016 to create a shared vision and also to promote the Government’s mission for enhancing employability and productivity through relevant education, research, skill building in this strategically important sector of our economy.
Five experts from University of Melbourne are participating in the Workshop as Resource Persons.
Student & Faculty Registration:
Limited seats for Students and Faculties are available for participation in the Workshop. Allotment of Seats shall be on first-come-first-serve basis. Participants shall be awarded with participation Certificate.
No TA/DA shall be admissible for attending the Workshop.
